Instruction to the Married Couple

Nuptial Mass – April 2015
The wedding day is particularly important for the wife, because this union provides the security and protection for her and her future children.  She, representing the whole Mystical Body, surrenders herself to the husband who is supposed to be the living representative of Our Lord through the love he provides.  A marriage only works when both parties will it to work.  All the sacraments are forms of worship as they are united to Christ’s redemptive sacrifice.  Matrimony is a participation of the fruitful love of Christ from the Cross.  The married couple are called to be the extension of God’s love, as they produce saints to propagate the kingdom of Heaven.

The Only Acceptable Worship

Easter Vigil 2015
We are privileged to be a part of the unbroken history of this liturgy. Catholic worship is more than merely a compilation of rituals. It is a true reliving of the past. Because of our fallen nature, and the sins we commit, we are not placed in friendship with God but in enmity with Him. Merely human worship, therefore, does not suffice in pleasing God. There is only one worship that is acceptable to Him and that is the worship of His Divine Son. Every act of the Divine Son is infinitely holy. In the instant when His death on the cross took place, the destiny of the universe was changed, and the true Promised Land of Heaven was opened to us.

May Christ Triumph in Us

Palm Sunday 2015
This is the most important week of the liturgical year, and we are reminded of the necessity of all the sacraments, but especially of Baptism and the Holy Eucharist.  We begin this week with a look towards the future triumph when we celebrate Our Lord’s entrance into Jerusalem.  We meet Christ now with the palms and in the priest in the procession, and we will meet Him in the future when He leads us into the heavenly Jerusalem.  We must have the disposition that God desires when we received the palms, so we may be victorious over sin. Let us, by our fervor, make up of the sins for our life during this week.

Penance and Preparation

Sermon From The
4th Sunday of Advent 2014
✟Father Violette
This is the last day of preparation for the birth of Christ.  To talk about penance, conversion, and self-purification is not opposed to the joy of Christmas, but necessary for true participation.  Even the Child Jesus had His Passion in mind when He first entered the world.  St. John the Baptist was the holiest man who had ever lived up to that point, yet he was not given power to change the soul through his baptism.  It is only through the merits of Christ that the sacrament of Baptism gives us new life.  Without prayer and penance, we will surely lose our way.

Priestly Life: Human and Divine

Conference From
First Friday November 2014
To teach, rule, and sanctify are the three powers priests must employ to accomplish their purpose on earth.  Through preaching the priest shares the fruits of all he knows.  In ruling the priest is able to organize society according to the principals of the Church.  By sanctifying the priest makes the people truly holy.  The priest is called “Father,” because he gives life by healing and restoring the faithful.  The priest should offer all, especially the Mass, for the remission of sins.  God chose men, not angels, to be priests, because men know sin and can offer compassion to their fellow sinners.  But despite knowing sin, no one on earth has a greater obligation to perfection than the priest.  Priests belong entirely to Christ and must possess His mind and will.

The Blood of His Heart

Sermon From The Feast Of The
Precious Blood 2014
We can see from the history of this feast day why is it so important for our times when the Church is under such great attacks.  The first gift of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is His Precious Blood.  The first reason for the creation of the human heart was for love of God.  His Blood is called precious because it is the key to our redemption and our enemies defeat.  It is the Blood of God.  Every last drop of Christ’s Blood was shed for us to clearly exemplify is love for mankind.

Definition Of Priestly Life

Sermon From The Feast Of
Corpus Christi 2014
The priesthood was established with Christ’s words, “do this in memory of Me.”  The entire purpose of the priesthood is for the worship of God, through the Holy Eucharist.  This great gift of the Blessed Sacrament is envied by many who are outside the Church.  Catholics stand up in defense of the Eucharist because we know it is the true presence of God, and not simply symbolic.  It is a living memorial of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.  We do not believe in the trans-signification of the modernists, but the dogma of transubstantiation.

Giver Of Life

Sermon On
Pentecost Sunday 2014
The Father is the Unbegotten, the Son is the Only-begotten, and the Holy Ghost is the unifying and personal Love which unites both the Father and the Son.  The Holy Spirit is called the Spirit of Unction, the Finger of the Right Hand of God, and the Giver of Life.  Today is the birthday of the Church and we see all of Christianity spring from the graces the Holy Ghost gives to the Church.  There is one Faith and there is one Lord.

His Promise To Us

Sermon On The
4th Sunday after Easter 2014
First Communion Sunday – God loves us and desires to come to us in Holy Communion.  The day of our First Holy Communion is remembered by all – even those who have left the Faith.  We prepare ourselves for that most important day and believe every article of doctrine, not just in our head, but in our hearts.  We belong to God alone when we receive Him.  He makes a promise when He gives Himself to us in the Eucharist, a promise that He will take us to Heaven one day.

The Sole Means of Salvation

Sermon On
Holy Thursday 2014
This day we celebrate the institution of the Mass, the Holy Eucharist, and the Priesthood – the only vocation created directly by God.  The saints tell us that it would be easier for us to exist without the Sun than without the Mass.  Our presence at the Mass shows God’s love for us, because He gives us the grace to come, and it allows us to show our love, fidelity, and loyalty to Him.  God has promised a great reward to those who stand with Him, and we know that it is only through the Mass that we will receive that reward.  Let us make reparation and proclaim our loyalty through the Sacrifice of the Altar.
