Warning Signs Of The End

First Friday Conference December 2020
Advent is the time of preparation for Christmas and the second coming of Christ.  The sacred liturgy has the ability because of God’s power to relive a past event like the Nativity, bring its graces to us in the present and prepare us for its fulfillment in the future with Our Lord’s return.  St. Matthew’s Gospel about the signs at the end of time is meant to warn us for the trials of those days.  St. Luke also gives these signs and encourages us to lift up our heads knowing that our redemption is near.  This conference then contains a listing and description of the signs of the times so we can be ready.

See The Rosary As Our Lady Does

Feast Of The Holy Guardian Angels – First Friday Conference, September 2020
Devotion to the angels is critical for the priest and the faithful.  In the Gospel Our Lord says to become as little children and learn to trust Him.  This is indispensable. October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary and St. Dominic and Blessed Allan taught the people about its importance by giving the fifteen promises attached to its recitation.  The Mysteries of the Rosary are the memories for Our Lady of the Incarnation, Redemption and Heavenly reward of her divine Son. The Rosary is a prayer that easily leads to contemplation.  Any problems or difficulties will disappear with its recitation.

God’s Most Loyal Angel

Feast Of St. Michael The Archangel 2020
The opening words of the Apocalypse begin today’s Epistle and show St. Michael proclaiming Christ as the Ruler of the world.  The Gospel warns against the scandal of the innocent because their angels ever behold the face of God.  This feast honors the leader of the angels, St. Michael, who earned his name in defending God’s honor against the attacks of Lucifer who refused the divine invitation.  He and his cohorts rebelled as many have done since because they are proud.  St. Michael and the angels protect us from these enemies of our souls and aid us on our path to heaven.  St. Michael, defend us in battle!

Heaven Is Our Real Home

Ascension Thursday 2020
Today Our Lord gloriously entered heaven and made it a home for all humanity through His Sacred Human Nature seated at the right hand of God the Father.  To emphasize this, all the saved who had been detained in the Limbo of the Patriarchs from Adam to St. John the Baptist entered heaven in triumph with Christ.  With His departure the apostles began their novena in preparation for the coming of the Holy Ghost and entered into their own spiritual purification by detaching themselves from all that hindered their progress in the spiritual life.  We must join them during these days of prayer & penance before Pentecost.  Our attention should always be focused on our goal which is our heavenly home.  With society collapsing around us we have heaven as our one remaining hope.

The Prayerful New Eve

Feast The Annunciation 2020
This ancient feast celebrates the moment that God became Man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  The Council of Ephesus declared this dogma which clearly defines that Our Lady is the Mother of God.  Everything that had been destroyed by Adam’s sin was restored by the Blessed Mother’s consenting to the divine maternity.  The Redemptive Incarnation and all that flows from it would not exist without her generous response.  God was not outdone by the devil’s machinations in the garden but repaired perfectly every detail of the fall.  In particular, Our Lady, unlike Eve, was found by the angel, St. Gabriel, in prayer and thereby disposed to accept God’s call with humble obedience.

Christmas Is Hope

Christmas 2019
As we gather at the crib of Bethlehem we renew our belief in the fundamental truths of the Incarnation (God made Man) and the miraculous virgin birth (the Blessed Mother’s perpetual virginity).  After thousands of years of suffering in consequence of Adam’s sin this night marks the beginning of our redemption and the elevation again to the supernatural life.  All of this is the cause of the joy experienced by the faithful and which even effects our pagan, secular world. God with us gives us hope for a better future and the promise of living with Him in heaven one day.

Love Without Reserve

17th Sunday after Pentecost 2019
This Sunday continues the feast of St. Michael and as our statue of him points the way to God so St. Michael has been given to us to protect and to lead us to heaven.  This Mass celebrates the love of the Son of God in coming to earth to save us.  We should love Him in return and this virtue of charity with humility and meekness will help us love our neighbors too.  This month is dedicated to the Holy Rosary and we should honor our heavenly Mother’s request and pray it daily.  It is a contemplative prayer which is powerful for our spiritual life and for the restoration of the Church and the salvation of souls.

Completion Of Easter

Ascension Thursday 2019
Today is a Holyday of Obligation because of the importance of Our Lord’s return to heaven forty days after His Resurrection.  The Son of God descended, became a Man, suffered, died, rose again and ascended to His Father.  Today completes this Paschal mystery.  Prayer is essential, especially during these days leading up to Pentecost.  Our Lord told the disciples to remain in Jerusalem until He sent the Advocate.  They gathered with the Blessed Mother and prayed for His Coming.  God will reward our prayers too.

History Of The Resurrection

Easter Sunday 2019
The details given in the Gospels about Our Lord’s rising from the dead provide the compelling evidence for our faith in the Resurrection.  Christ first came to visit His own Mother and spent time with her until His appearances around the sepulchre.  Later in the afternoon He walked with the two disciples to Emmaus and ended the day by seeing the apostles in the upper room.  We must rejoice with them over our King’s Victory.  There are some in the world who think they can conquer Our Savior.  These have been deceived by the devil.

Feast of Hope

Christmas 2018 Midnight
Christmas brings joy to all the people of the world despite any attempts to thwart it.  So along with the sorrows around us nothing prevents God dwelling among us.  We hope in God that He will save us and exercise His Kingship in a society devoted to His Royal and Davidic line.  The Mass texts re-enforce this through their own prayerful considerations.
