Conference on Grace and The Immaculate Conception – When we speak of perfect passive conception, we refer to the moment in which the product of active conception is infused with a soul and becomes a human person. From this moment of perfect passive conception, the Virgin Mary was redeemed in a preservative, not a liberative, manner. The Blessed Mother from this point possessed a greater union with God than all the angels and saints. Our Lady was not only free from the guilt of Original Sin, but also the concupiscence of the flesh, of the eyes, and the pride of life. By a divine ligature, she was unable to consent to even the slightest imperfections.
Sanctifying Grace is a created share in the supernatural life of God. When God breathed human life into Adam, He breathed a share of divine life into him as well. Grace must be valued above all things. We must be willing to live and die to preserve it. The Blessed Mother was given the plenitude of grace in preparation for her role as the Mother of God, as well as Mother to each one of us.

1st Friday Conference September 2024
St. Tarcisius lived during the days of great persecution. He was ordained an acolyte or deacon as a young man, and was commissioned to care for the Christian prisoners. While bringing Viaticum to these captives, St. Tarcisius was accosted by a group of pagans. He gave his life rather than expose the Holy Eucharist to desecration.
Devotion to the Holy Infant of Prague is loved and honored by Our Lord Himself. Our Lord is not a child now, but this is the humble state in which He first appeared in the world. The statue depicts the Holy Infant as both God and Man, as well as King of all creation. His welcoming gentleness seems to radiate out from the Infant Jesus of Prague. He makes Himself a guide to all those who have lost their way.
Much is said about the accomplishments of St. Pius X, but not enough about his interior life. His prayer had reached the heights of contemplation and was directed by the Holy Ghost. He radiated goodness and wanted to comfort everybody, yet fought unwaveringly against the enemies of his spiritual children.

In St. Paul’s instruction to the young bishop, St. Timothy, he emphasized the importance of spiritual reading. If this instruction is given to a bishop, it applies all the more so to the laity. Prayer and spiritual reading are necessary for the growth of sanctity.
St. Anthony Mary Zaccaria became a physician in his early life but soon discovered that his calling was not to heal men’s bodies but their souls. He dedicated his life to the assistance of the dying and the welfare of children, and his great love of the Holy Eucharist led to his institution of the 40 Hours Devotion.
In gratitude for the victory over the forces of Free Masonry, Pope Pius IX elevated the feast of the Visitation. There were two annunciations in preparation for the coming of the Redeemer – the annunciation of the birth of St. John the Baptist and that of Our Lord. St. John the Baptist was the herald of Our Lord not only in his words, but in his life. In the Visitation we see the great love of the Blessed Mother, who cares for even our smallest needs.

Feast of the Purification 2024
The candle is one of the great sacramentals of the Church. It is like a sacrament in the sense that it is an outward sign, but unlike a sacrament, it does not give grace automatically. This day links Our Lord and the Blessed Mother so closely. Today we remember both the joyful mystery of the Rosary and the first of the Virgin Mary’s great sorrows. Because the Mother of God was not affected by original sin, and because of the Virginal Birth, she was not subject to the law requiring purification. However, she submitted to it in all humility. God used the New Eve to carry the New Adam into the Garden, when the Blessed Mother carried Our Lord into the temple.

Feast of the Holy Family 2024
St. Joseph is the head of our family. He was formed in the image of God the Father because he was given a share of the same love that God possesses for His Son. St. Joseph loves us as he loved Christ, because we are part of the Mystical Body. The Blessed Virgin is the true Mother of God because she gave Him His human life. Our Lord knew all things in His Divine Mind, but He chose to learn as we do in His human mind, so He could be the perfect model of humility. He wanted to be like us, so we would want to be like Him. Today we are taught about the virtue of obedience, without which we cannot be saved.

Christmas Day 2023
We have the privilege of giving glory and proper worship to the Trinity on this day. We celebrate the dogma of the Redemptive Incarnation. In His infinite love, God became man, lived with us and died for us. Our Lord’s enemies try to attack and undermine this great feast, but without success. We must love justice and hate iniquity. The Light spoken about in the Gospel is the Son of God Himself. Everyone is offered the light of God’s grace, and those who receive it are made sons of God. The devil’s plan is to turn mankind from God, but we know the victory has already been won. In the face of the world, we are unwavering in our obedience to the Trinity.

Christmas Midnight Mass 2023
It is a true joy to relive the happiness of that night in Bethlehem in which our Savior was born. It was in silence and solitude Our Lord entered the world. Just as Christ passed through the rock of His tomb at the moment of His Resurrection, He passed through the womb of the Blessed Mother, without violating her virginity. This chapel is our Bethlehem, in which we relive the moments of the Nativity. We are united with all of our forefathers throughout the history of the Church. Our Lord came not only for the glory of His Father, but for us and our salvation. Christmas is the beginning of Christ’s victory over the world.

Vigil of Christmas 2023
Today the Church cries out, “We will have Him to rule over us!” This Mass is like an early celebration of Christmas. “Come Lord and Reign!” says the Alleluia verse. According to St. Ignatius Martyr, the reason St. Joseph was betrothed to the Blessed Virgin Mary was to hide the miracle of her virginal conception from the devil, who was searching for the fulfillment of that prophecy. Today we know that the Lord is coming, and tomorrow we will be with Him in the manger through the Holy Eucharist.

This dogma has always been believed by the Christian world, but more recently it was made gravely binding for every Catholic to believe. The Virgin Mary was redeemed more perfectly than the rest of men. She was preserved from all stain of original sin by an anticipation of the future merits of Jesus Christ. She was given the initial plenitude of grace at conception, but her capacity to receive Sanctifying Grace grew with her throughout her life. God knew the evil of man after his fall, so God promised that he would put enmity between the devil and the woman. The Blessed Mother has both the heart of a virgin and the heart of a mother.
