Feast Of The Transfiguration 2019
In this conference we learn that transfiguration is not uncommon in the lives of the saints. The Collect for the Mass today is key to unlocking this feast day. The outward sign instituted by Christ to give grace is Our Lord Himself and the Father commands us to listen to Him. Moses and Elias confirm this while speaking to Jesus about His upcoming Death. This event marked Christ’s directing of His Life now to the Cross. He relaxed in prayer and allowed His divinity to manifest through His humanity. This strengthened Him and His apostles for what lay ahead. The Transfiguration is our bulwark against all our trials today.
