Reference to the Last Judgment is found throughout the Gospels and especially in the parables of Our Lord. The General Judgment will exemplify the workings of divine providence and demonstrate the Wisdom of God in even His smallest actions. The signs of the end of time are the following: the general preaching of the Gospel, the conversion of the Jewish nation, the return of Enoch and Elias, the great apostasy, and the rise of the Antichrist, who is preceded by a herald known as the False Prophet. We will also see nations reject the Faith, the disturbance of nature through natural disasters, along with wars, pestilence, and famine, and a universal conflagration, which will not destroy the world but renew it. Finally, there will be the trumpet of the resurrection and the appearance of the Cross in the heavens, and the resurrection of all the dead for the General Judgment. It will be at that moment that the Bridegroom, Christ, will present His bride, the Church, to His Heavenly Father.
