Join the Eternal Sacrifice

Refusing to pray the Holy Rosary is an insult to the Blessed Virgin Mary, because she gifted this powerful prayer to us as a great help in our sanctification. Through the Rosary we are able to meditate on the mysteries of Our Lord’s life with His Blessed Mother. St. Thomas Aquinas and Blessed Alan de la Roche urge Catholics to pray the Rosary if they wish to be triumphant in the battlefield of life.

We are taught in the Epistle for today’s mass that anger is only sinful when it is inordinate. Anger is a passion, and the passions are good when they are properly controlled. It is true that when one is unjustly or excessively angry, this is a sin, however, it is also a sin for someone not to be angry when they should be.

We are called to put on the ‘new man,’ meaning we are called to holiness in imitation of Our Lord. If we are not actively seeking holiness, we are lukewarm and will be rejected by God. All are invited to membership in the True Church. God expects love from us, and it is our duty to express the love that we owe Him. We show our love in the most perfect way by uniting in Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross, which is renewed at every Mass, and which will continue forever in Heaven. For all eternity, Christ offers Himself to His Heavenly Father.
