Children of the True Church
Feast of Saints Peter & Paul 2026
Saints Peter and Paul are the pillars upon which the entire Church rests. There are few feasts in the liturgical year that are considered important enough to warrant a vigil for their preparation, and this feast is one of them. All of us give thanks for the grace of the true Faith, that same Faith for which these Apostles sacrificed their lives. St Paul, who had once persecuted the Church, was taught what it means to suffer for Christ. St. Peter, a lowly fisherman, was chosen to be the vicar and representative of Our Lord on Earth. Our Lady at La Salette warned that “Rome will lose the Faith.” The devil and his cooperators in the world seek the destruction of souls by separating them from Christ. We must remain ever vigilant, or we will lose our way. One cannot have God for his Father if he does not have the Church for his Mother. Following the examples of Saints Peter and Paul, we are called to be heroic and militant in the face of the enemy.
