Regina Cæli Indulgences
On April 20, 1742, Pope Benedict XIV established that the Regina Cæli should be substituted for the Angelus during the Easter Season, granting it the same indulgences as the Angelus as established by Benedict XIII in his brief dated Sept. 14, 1724. This modification ensured that the indulgences granted for the daily, thrice-daily recitation of the Angelus could continue to be gained throughout Eastertime by praying the Regina Cæli.
A partial indulgence of one hundred days for each recitation and a plenary indulgence once a month, on the usual conditions, to those who say the Regina Cæli three times a day (morning, midday and evening, ideally at 6:00am, noon and 6:00pm.)
