Catholics Bury the Dead

The good angels rejoice on this day as we celebrate their feast. We should pray to our guardian angels, who can help perfect our prayers and act as messengers between God and man. They are a great gift from God and walk beside us throughout our life to guide us in serving Him.

One of the great works of mercy that we are commanded to practice is burying the dead. Cremation has always been condemned by the Catholic Church, not because it is wrong in itself or contrary to divine law, but because it has been advocated by anti-Christians with the express purpose of destroying belief in the immortality of the soul and the resurrection of the body.
